On the Roof in Pakistan

I’ve spent the majority of the last week in Pakistan in the office, the hotel, or in between in the car. Which is not a complaint; there is plenty of work to be done and I certainly would prefer a quiet trip over an unnecessary adventure. Unfortunately, I don’t have too many opportunities to take photographs.
From what I can tell, Islamabad is a nice place — the city is neatly divided into grids and somewhat sprawling, limiting traffic to security checkpoints and busy intersections. The horizon is cut not by sky scrapers but by the occasional minaret. Hills line the city to the northwest, and every evening I watch the sun set behind the hills, throwing off soft, colorful light. One of these days I’ll get a shot of that.
